Hello there! And welcome to ‘Evergreen Magazine’ – a wonderful and evolving journal of the arts! You will find here, on our homepage, direct links to each area of the site. Please! Look around to find out how you will help us achieve our splendid vision. Carrboro, NC is where our team calls home, but as we make our exciting plans for the first few issues of the publication, we are scouring the globe for bright new talent to fill their pages. We aim to inspire people, to give them hope and joy in the world around them. We are looking for pieces (writing: creative or informative; fiction or nonfiction, photographs, drawings, virtually anything and everything we can print) about life and moments in it that you have found particularly inspirational: art of every genre, people, places, the list goes on. If you know that your own work glows with these very qualities, please, stop reading, click the ‘submissions’ button above and share it with us. We can wait . . . . . are you finished? Great. Let’s continue . . . We believe that there is too much good in this world that goes nearly unnoticed and we want to change that. Because we are interested in all things true and beautiful, our hope is that each issue of “The Magazinette” would have a timeless quality. We will not date them, nor will any issue become “outdated.” This, we happily realize, gives our contributors the freedom to submit work related to happenings both past and present. We know that this world has in it already zines galore, but we have decided that any enterprise dedicated to the muses of truth and beauty is worth investment, so here we are, making this happen and hoping that you will find this something worth your time. We think it is. Are you convinced? Excellent. Now, your next step is to discover where you fit into this. Hopefully, those of you with talent for expression have a submission waiting in our inbox. If your talents cannot be contained in print, do not fear. We have other needs. For instance, if you find yourself with some influence in a public place, consider our ‘distribution’ button above to help spread the evergreen gospel.
